History of Nefertiti
“Nefertiti” is a legendary Egyptian Queen, one of the most mysterious, powerful and beautiful ruler of ancient Egypt. She was the wife of Ankethan, an Egyptian Pharaoh, from 1370-1330 BC. Nefertiti means 'A beautiful woman has come'. Nefertiti was perhaps one of the most powerful women ever to have ruled. Her husband went to great lengths to display her as an equal.
In several relics, she is shown wearing the crown of a pharaoh. She and her husband established the cult of Athen, the Sun god, and promoted Egyptian artwork that was radically different from its predecessors. A bust of Nefertiti is one of the most iconic symbols of Egypt. Her legacy of beauty and power continue to intrigue scholars even today.
The inspiring thought and vision of Shri. Tom Jose IAS (MD KSINC 2011-18) was to give the ship a royal character and personality that can represent KSINC and their passion for innovation in coastal tourism, and so was Nefertiti conceptualized. Nefertiti has been built to Indian Flag under the approval of The Directorate General of Shipping, India and stringent standards of mercantile Marine Department.
